Base Units

Deanestor offers a wide range of storage cabinets designed to meet the specific requirements of healthcare environments from wards and operating theatres to pharmacies and outpatient departments. A variety of finishes are offered to suit most specifications and budget requirements.

Deanestor manufactures healthcare furniture in accordance with the HTM63, HTM71 and MDB guidelines, which are recognised by Health Authorities and Trusts. The cabinet heights shown below should be used with the correct worktop fascia height, or the correct variable base unit dimensions, to achieve an overall 900mm standing working height, 720mm to 750mm seating working height or a 920mm HTM industry standard working height.

BS - Standard Base Unit

BS - Standard is a 750mm high cabinet with 150mm top drawer, 100mm plinth and is typically used with a 50mm fascia worktop because it allows most appliances to fit under the worktops without the need for fascia cut-outs.

BM - Medical Base Unit (MDB)

BM - Medical (MDB) is a 700mm high cabinet with 100mm top drawer, 100mm plinth and is typically used with a 100mm fascia worktop. The worktop fascia requires cut-outs for most appliances.

BH - Suspended Base Unit (HTM63)

BH - Suspended (HTM63) is a 550mm high cabinet with a 100mm top drawer, no plinth and is typically wall mounted. It has less storage space than traditional plinth mounted cabinets and is 450mm deep.

BT - Tall Base Unit

BT- Tall is a 800mm high cabinetwith 100mm plinth and is typically used with a 20mm worktop. 

BL - Low Base Unit

BL - Low is a 600mm high cabinet with a 150mm top drawer, 100mm plinth and has been designed to be used with the BS, BM or BD cabinets. This can be a useful solution for seating requirements.

BV - Variable Base Unit

BV - Variable is commonly a 765mm or 780mm high cabinet with a 100mm plinth and provides a HTM working height with 55mm or 40mm worktops. This cabinet can be 400-1100mm.
