Aberavon Respite Care Home

Aberavon Respite Care Home

Ideally situated on Aberavon beach, this new respite care home will provide services for adults with physical and mental disabilities for long and short term stays.

Deanestor supplied healthcare furniture and fittings for the home, working for main contractors Dawnus Construction, who told us they are very happy with the services, furniture and equipment we provided -

"This is the second project that I have worked with Deanestor on and both contracts have been excellent for delivery of the projects (Hirwaun Medical Centre in 2012). With a professional team of draughtsmen, drawing up their designs, to the fit out on site - which was second to none. Consciously working to programme, and in a safe manner, with an excellent finish throughout the buildings. I would not hesitate to use Deanestor in the future and have informed our procurement of this."
Tom Rees, Project Manager, Dawnus Construction Holdings Ltd.

The Care Home is divided into units of four bedrooms with lounge and kitchen facilities, designed to cater for the specific needs of occupants. Each unit is based around a courtyard with sensory gardens created to suit. There are facilities to meet the needs of challenging behaviour and for those with severe disabilities and communal facilities with sea views including kitchen, dining, lounge and games areas, sensory room and soft play facilities.

Deanestor manfactured and installed bedroom furniture, kitchen furniture, office furniture and reception furniture for the project.

This new care home provides local families with respite care for adult family members and the project was completed for Neath Port Talbot Council.
