Award-Winning Mental Health Furniture Suppliers

Elgin and Appin Wards at Stobhill Mental Health Estate have been named Health Building of the Year at the Scottish Design Awards.

Designed by Keppie Design, the facilities were built by BAM and delivered through a partnership between hub West Scotland, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership.

Deanestor provided fixed furniture and fitout for these inpatient mental healthcare units across two buildings. This contract included the manufacture and installation of:

• Wall cabinets, base units, and worktops for restaurants, staff rooms, utilities, and treatment rooms.

• Safes and mirrors in patient rooms.

• Dispensers and sanitisers throughout the facilities.

This essential NHS project was completed to a high standard despite the challenges posed by the Covid lockdown. The new facilities have significantly enhanced the quality of health and social care services in the local community.
