Palmerston Court, Battersea
Deanestor is thrilled to announce the successful completion of Palmerston Court in Battersea—London’s first large-scale PassivHaus student accommodation. This landmark development sets a new standard for sustainable student living in the capital.
Project: Palmerston Court, Battersea
Sector: Sustainable Student Accommodation
Client: Urbanest
Capacity: 850 bespoke student living spaces
Kitchens Installed: 162 kitchens with 17 distinct designs
The development has transformed the site, replacing four original buildings with a modern, energy-efficient complex designed to house 850 students. Deanestor provided high-quality, bespoke fitted furniture for both non-ensuite rooms and studio apartments, as well as designing and installing custom kitchens tailored to diverse student needs.
Palmerston Court is designed to ease pressure on the local housing market, potentially freeing up 340 homes that would otherwise be occupied by students. Additionally, the development is projected to inject £4.2 million annually into the local economy, benefiting businesses in the area.
Sustainability Highlights:
BREEAM-compliant design, meeting high environmental standards
Car-free development, promoting greener living and reducing carbon footprint
PassivHaus construction, ensuring energy efficiency and lower emissions
